Where is the development process at?

We anticipate final approval for the RV lot subdivision from the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) and the Ministry of Transportation (MoT)  by the end of April. 

Then, we will complete the Disclosure Statement and accompanying information package that will allow for the pre-sale of the RV lots. Though we cannot guarantee the timely navigation through the development process, we are cautiously optimistic that the auction sale for the RV lots will occur on site in June or July, 2022. 

In preparation for these approvals, our team has been hard at work with the initial clearing of the RV lots, revealing spectacular views of Mara Lake.

Why buy a resort property at an auction?

An auction accelerates the process of a real estate transaction—sometimes, an owner will be able to sell out a development or portfolio in a day, as opposed to several years! The time saved for the owner often translates into money saved for the buyer. 

What will be for sale at this event? Will there be more properties for sale in the future?

During this auction, up to 100 bareland strata RV lots will be sold. 

Future residential units are planned beyond that, along with amenities such as a pool, clubhouse, restaurant, retail space, and access to the marina and proposed rail trail.

How will the prices for each lot be determined?

All prices are established by open and competitive bidding during the auction.

I’ve never participated in an auction before—is this event right for me?

Before the auction begins, we will be holding a brief workshop to familiarize all prospective bidders with the auction process. So, whether you’re an experienced bidder or have never been to an auction before, you’ll enter the auction with a firm understanding of the rules, process, and etiquette. If this is your first time, we can’t wait to introduce you to our favourite way to buy recreational and residential property!
